    simple link question

    Hi,
    I have set an anchor link property in a stylesheet so that the color of the link will change when the cursor moves over the link. The problem I have is that it doesn't work for links in my table. Any ideas ??

    Style for a link -

    a {
    font: 12pt verdana;
    }

    Style for a link in a table -

    td a {
    font: 11pt verdana;
    }

    hope that helps.

    hey Dean, I may be wrong but isn't if they have something like this:

    A:link {text-decoration: none; color: red}
    A:visited {text-decoration: none; color: red}
    A:active {text-decoration: none; color: red}
    A:hover {text-decoration: none color: darkblue}

    the I tested it out where I had that then this:

    .color {
    font-family: arial;
    font-color: green;
    }

    <a class="color" href="blah.com">hello</a>

    and the link was still red(I had to be sure).

    so all other 'mouseover' elements won't work because this over rides them? Isn't this what he's refering to? I dunno, but if he's doing it right it should work.

    Thats would work fine.

    the only problem would be that you would have to add the class to each link. For affecting all links contained within a table cell, the first way may be easier.
