Need basic scripts for melange of stuff...
Hi, New here. I learn by doing, and what I want to do, I don't know how to yet... I've learned the basic html stuff... you know, links, pics, paragraphs, and stuff like that. But what I'm looking to learn next is some more advanced stuff. I just need the basic tags and simple explanations as to what each part of the tag (not encluding the closing tags... those are easy to figure out) does. Some tags I would like to learn are:
Things with *s, I am REALLY interested in. When you explain the code, please tell me if I'll need any other internet markup language to do it with, since I'm just talking basic html here... Thanks in advance for the tips and tricks!

Welcome to the forums DSDragon
Quite a bit you are asking, but it can be answered pretty easily
First lets take the image mapping. Image mapping is pretty simple really, just head over to download.com and find the software that suits you best. You may want to do a search of these forums for ideas.
For your frames forms and tables help just take a look at our
tutorials, paying close attention to the tables tutorials as this plays a major role in imagemapping and creating interfaces.

I wouldn't be so interested in frames

Yeah, frames cause too many problems. Don't see them being used much any more in the newest, coolest sites.
Almost all of what you are looking for is contained within the coding for my personal bookmarks page at:
Take what you need - that's what it's there for.

Thanks, that really helps...
The reason I asked about frames was 'cause I go to these two sites ALL the time that have frames and they looked kinda nifty (although, I'll admit, they ARE kinda a pain), and wanted to know how to do them just for the fun of it.
The other stuff really helps too.
And the image mapping... I was looking at posts before I registered this afternoon, and I found a reference to cnet... I go to cnet to find a lot of software when I want it, and I found a nice image mapping program there. I'm glad I did too... now if I only had images to map... :-p Anyway, thanks for the help!
