Red face Rotating text load immediately?

I've got the rotating text/quotes code working - thanks! However, I'd like the first quote to load immediately - right now, there is white space for 5 seconds before the first quote loads. I realize that this is due to the variable speed, but is there a way to make the first quote load immediately?

    Thanks! Ronni

Thanks coothead - I really appreciate the quick reply! You are the best.

Now I have a couple other issues. I'm trying to make the text break at certain points within the quote, but when I put <br> within the text, they show up on the web rather than implementing the break. My client also wants the quote part in italics, but again, the <i> tag shows up in the text rather than making the text italic.

    Re: Rotating text load immediately?

Wow - thanks for the quick responses and help today. I really appreciate it, and I've got my quotes with breaks and in italic now. Another newbie saved! Check it out at: www.payrollpayroll.com
I still need to add some breaks in spots to make it flow better, but the breaks before the person's name are working well now.

    THANK YOU!!
