    email verification

    Hi,

I have asked MySpace for help for the last week and no repsonse.
I have my site up and running, however, I cannot get MySPace to verify my email address. The address is correct and does work. But when I click onto MySpace to verify my email account, it does not verify.

I cannot add new menbers nor can they add me.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Are you trying to activate your account? It's possible that you have spam filters blocking the verification email. Have you checked that?

Thanks, Vinyl. I did not check that. How would I disable spam filters so I can verify my email?

    Thanks!

    Re: email verification

That depends on your email account. For example, if it's a gmail account, look in the Spam folder. If it's an email account for your own domain, you may have to look at your mail from whatever control panel you access it from online. You could have an internet security package on your PC that is filtering spam too. Like I said, it depends on your email account and where the spam filter might be located.

And spam filtering might not even be the problem. I'm just offering that up as a suggestion.

    Thanks V-J,
The spam filter was not the problem but I appreciate your help. Odd problem, since everything else works...any other ideas??
It's ironic, You get more help from friendly people such as yourself than from Myspace itself. I guess Myspace is too busy to help:they should call it MineAlone Space.
Thanks again for your time V-J!

somtimes you just have to email myspace and say u want to change ur email account from that one to another one. then they'll tell you how to verify it a different way.

    Re: email verification

What I would do is just change
my email. They are not gonna show
the email you signed up for, and
    pretty much myspace doesn't send
email to you that much, not even
updates on the site. Plus, it's
    pretty annoying to have your
    hotmail or whatever you use
    spammed with myspace
    emails of people who commented
your stuff. You end up deleting
it. You can just put your real email
on your myspace if you want
people on myspace to add your
    aim, msn, etc.
But, then again, that's just my
    opinion.
