    Basic Weather Script..

I have looked high and low, all I want is a basic script that shows:
    Current Temp: 75F (58C)
No pictures, no anything.. just the above. I need two seperate ones for my sites, one for 06492 and the other for 23321.
    Can anyone help?!

You might check out http://www.freesticky.com/stickyweb/section.asp?sectionname=weather for a few different scripts for weather

Unfortunately they all want to add images and a lot more info, not just the temp.

vinyl-junkie, I put it in both the ASP and the Java forums because I dont care which format the script is in, if it is only in the ASP one, I wont get people who only know Java and if it is only in the Java one I wont get people who only know ASP.

A script itself is not going to figure out the temperature, it will have to connect to someplace that has the ability. Due to this you will have to be prepared to either pay for the ability or put up with branding.

I thought I read that Accuweather will let you pull, as I have seen some customer scripts that work with it, just again, they go more for total info then just basic temp.

thats the same thing, again all I want is the temperature.. nothing else. I already know of all of the sites where you can get that sort of setup.

Without wishing to be rude, you do actually have the answer to your question.
It doesn't matter how many times you ask it, the answer is going to be the same.
Either accept what's on offer for free, or pay to have it customised.

    Re: Basic Weather Script..

You know, I was just trying to get an answer that was complete... so I have to pay, great.. how much? how long? what is involved, this is a scripting site, if I knew the answers myself I wouldnt be here.
I need someone who does this to supply those answers so I can make an intelligent decision.

However ignoring the fact I said I dont want graphics (otherwise again, I could have done this myself) and continually pointing me to sites that have premade items which I specifically said I dont want obviously wont help either.
I never said I was opposed to paying for it, that was just an assumption everyone seems to be making.

    Re: Basic Weather Script..

I found this http://www.wunderground.com/geo/SmalltempBannerPromo/US/CO/Castle_Rock.html. It gives you the temperature with a small image in the background. And you might contact this company (http://www.timeandweather.com/code.htp?cntry=Colorado) to see if they can support your needs. http://www.yellowbrix.com/index.nsp?T=Normal&P=Products&F=CSWS is another one that might be customizable.

    Re: Basic Weather Script..

Glad to have helped. It just took about 15 minutes of searching. Usually mixing up the search words sometimes will help from time to time. Good luck with it!
