Making Web Application Available
I have a web application I developed for college coursework on my PC. Is it possible to allow someone to view this while I am connected to the Internet?

Sure, buts it risky.
You have to set up your machine as a server. If your are using linux, apache is your best bet. If you are using windoze, you can download/install something called Personal Web Server. It only allows two connections at a time, but for demo its great.
Once you have a server running, someone can get to your machine using its ip address. If you have a permanent ip address, this is fine, just point the browser at http://123.321.123.20 or whatever. If you are on a dialup, then your ip changes all the time, so you would have to connect, find your ip, then let the person you want to see it know. Loadsa fun.
