    Numbered lists--basic question

    I'm very new to this and could really use some help. I am working on a css to use to output HTML from FrameMaker via Webworks.
    I am trying to define a numbered list. My css for the Step1 style looks like this (plus other info):

    display: list-item;
    list-style-position: outside;
    list-style-type: decimal;
    It does number the items, but it counts the items tagged as heading styles and body styles as well. Curently, my output looks like this:

    Title (tagged H3)

    2. This is my first step.(Step1 tag)
    3. This is my second step.(StepMore tag)
    This is body.(Body tag)
    5. This is more
    6. This is more
    How do I turn off counting for the heading style and the body style so that only my list items are counted? The H3 and body don't appear with numerals, but they are being counted in the sequence.

    You need to post all your code, not just your CSS. We can't help you without it.
