    cgi and dreamweaver

    Hello,
    I am trying to convert a dreamweaver htm page to a cgi page but so far no luck. I have read many perl/cgi documents but I have not seen any cgi page that include Javascript. The web page was created by dreamweaver, inside the <script> tag there are many javascript functions </script>. How do I convert this page to cgi page?
    I used
    print <<beginhtml;
    <html>
    <head>
    <script language="Javascript">
    function XXX() {
    }
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    html code here
    </body>
    </html>
    beginhtml
    Everytime I click on the link to execute the filename.cgi file. I have an error message "Internal Server Error"
    What can I do? Please help.

    Re: cgi and dreamweaver

    Hello,
    Your Error (Error 500) is likely due to your syntax error. You haven't declared your using HTML properly... Try...
    print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";
    print <<"HTML code";
    <html>
    <head>
    <script language="Javascript">
    function XXX() {
    }
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    html code here
    </body>
    </html>
    HTML code
    This should work fine so long as the other parts of your CGI script are fine.
