    Question about using Javascript to write XML tags and all to the browser window

    I'm trying to display a Javascript dynamically generated XML, tags and all in a browser. I would prefer to save it to a file, but since JS can't do that, outputting it to the browser will work. I know this would be better suited to another language solution, but this is what they want. My problem is that when I try to document.write() the tags they do not display, because JS assumes I want to use them as working tags.

    For example as soon as it sees <? it does not display anything, here is what I have tried.

    document.write("<?");
    document.write("<"+"?");
    document.write("<\?");
    document.write("<"+"\?");

    Is there another way that I can output this?
