open without new window
nice forum, lots of usefull info in here... Got a Q though that I can`t seem to find the answer on yet... I want to have a HTM load another HTM in a different frame on loading. No problems so far, right page loading in right frame on load of original HTM.
I just can`t seem to find a way to do this without also lauching a new browser window...
If anyone has any ideas it would be great,
to make things clear, using this script now:
<body bgcolor="#0000FF" text="#FFFFFF" link="#FFFFFF" onload="open()">
Also tried it with "window.open" but has exactly the same result...

If its a different frame, you will have to post some more code (or a link) so we can have a beter look.
BTW - welcome to the forums!

location.href is not loading the second page, or I inserted it wrong or soemthing . Put back the original, can check it on "removed... rated to high by google, sorry" button "who", js is in the blue page, page that is loaded in target is the red one. As you can see it`s working, but just wanna get rid of that xtra browser window popping up...
Hope you can help...

thanx for your help, found the answer though and thought it was nice to let you know... script that is doing the work is:
<body bgcolor="#0000FF" text="#FFFFFF" link="#FFFFFF" onload="parent.pagetop.location.href">
First created some probs cause the target was named "top" and script thought it had to use the top frameset, renameing the target into "pagetop" made it work...
More explanation can be found on http://developer.irt.org/script/18.htm
