    Question Invisible link needed

    I'm doing a demo for work which basically runs a local version of an existing website. It is fine apart from one problem (which has then caused another).

    I have a dropdown box which is populated. When I choose an item from this drop down box I would like it to automatically go to a specific page,. However I can't get that to work and thus have come up with a workaround that I can't get working! Doh

    My workaround idea is to add in an invisible hyperlink. When you choose the specific option from the dropdown box, the cursor location is above some text. I thought I could turn this text into an invisible hyperlink. My problem though is that I can't get the formatting right. I can remove the underline by using text-decoration:none, I can also change the colour of the text to white, but I can't seem to do these simultaneously. If anyone can help with either of these I'd be really grateful. I am doing all editing in Notepad and have no access to anything else to do anything fancy in.

    thanks

    Re: Invisible link needed

    A drop down would work, give this code a try :
    HTML Code:
    <form name="myform"><select
    style="font-family: verdana;"
    name="menu">
    <option value="#">Quick Links ...#A3D175</option>
    <option value="http://www.google.com">Google</option>
    <option value="http://www.ahfb2000.com">Web Master Discussions</option>
    <option value="http://www.yahoo.com">Yahoo</option></select>
    <input onclick="document.location.href=document.myform.menu.options[document.myform.menu.selectedIndex].value;"
    value="Redirect Link" type="button">
    </form>
    If you wish to make the hyperlink invisible, then it could be done using
    Code:
    text-decoration:none;color:white;
    See if it helps
