    Are frames still actual or are they old school?

    I am trying to have a page opening in the main area of my webpage where I can display some photos.
    As I understand, it can be done useing frames.
    Is this wright, or is there another way to do this in compliance with the latest w3c directives?

    I probably don't make much sense, but I need a place to start?
    Which one should be used to open a page in a div: Javascript or PHP? Or is not possible to do this?
    I really need some help

    You will have to use javascript for this. Create a div in your original page. Then do document.getElrementById("mydiv").innerHTML = "<b>html to put here</b>";

    in javascript.
