Hi there. Bit new to CSS so forgive this probably easy Q but can someone tell me why this background color is not displaying (in IE)? It shows in the Dreamweaver design view though.
I do not know why it is not displaying on your machine. It displays without issue over here. Perhaps if we saw more of the code, we could more easily assist. As it is, I am unable to duplicate the issue you stated.
Thanks for this. I have since discovered that the problem is peculiar to my machine, which, for some unknown reason is not displaying background colours or images on any sites, not just mine. I have virus checked it to no avail, so if it's not a somehow corrupted IE, I don't know what the problem is.
Can say I am very pleased my sites are still displaying as they should for the rest of the world at least.
Any ideas as to why my machine has a prob also welcome.
IE 6 I think,and Windows Vista, on a fairly new machine. This backgrounds disappearing problem only began a few weeks ago. V strange and irritating and as I said, I've checked for viruses.
Double-check the browser version. It is not IE6 unless you installed it yourself as Vista comes with IE7/8 (depending on when you bought your computer).
